Coverage E — Personal Liability

Definition#

Coverage E pays legal defense and damages if you are sued for accidentally injuring someone or damaging their property. Industry default is $300,000; many policies offer $500k or $1M for nominal premium increases. Umbrella policies stack on top for additional coverage.
