Dwelling unit

Definition#

A dwelling unit is the primary residential structure on a property: foundation, framing, roof, walls, mechanical systems, built-in fixtures, finishes. It does NOT include land, detached structures (those go under Coverage B), or personal property (Coverage C). Coverage A is sized to rebuild the dwelling unit, not to match market value or land value.
